T-450 Benchtop High-precision X-ray Fluorescence Analyzer
Rapid and Accurate Measurement of Heavy Metals such as Cadmium in Grain
The T-450 employs high-precision X-ray fluorescence (HDXRF) technology. By using advanced monochromatic and focusing optical devices, namely the toroidal bent crystal optical crystal (DCC), the signal-to-noise ratio of the device is significantly improved, greatly enhancing the detection accuracy compared with the traditional energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence technology (EDXRF). Figure 1 shows the basic structure of the HDXRF technology device. The toroidal bent crystal optical crystal (DCC) converts the polychromatic light from the radiation source into high-energy monochromatic light and effectively focuses it on the measurement sample. After being excited by the focused high-energy monochromatic light beam, the heavy metal elements in the sample emit their respective characteristic X-ray fluorescence signals. The high-resolution SDD semiconductor detector collects and processes these signals. Finally, the FP algorithm in the software calculates the elemental contents in the sample.

Compliance Detection of Cadmium
The T-450, based on HDXRF@ technology, can quickly and accurately conduct quantitative analysis of heavy metal elements such as cadmium in food and grains. Its excellent detection performance can meet the requirements of China's national food safety standards. The detection limit can easily meet the regulatory limit of 0.2 mg/kg for cadmium in rice. In addition, the T-450 can also conduct preliminary screening and qualitative analysis of arsenic in rice.
Rapid Scanning
The T-450 is lightweight and compact, making it easy to carry. It is simple to operate and does not require complex sample preparation steps, easily meeting the need for rapid and accurate on - site scanning and analysis. The results are shown in Table 2.

Accuracy and Repeatability
A certain number of rice standard samples are selected for direct analysis of the Cd (cadmium) element. The testing accuracy of the instrument is evaluated by analyzing the relative error between the measured values and the standard values. The data in Table 3 shows that HDXRF can provide accurate and stable results for both high and low cadmium content detections. The analysis error for samples with 0.2 and 0.1 mg/kg cadmium content is usually less than 10%.
